Hideo Kojima is set to discuss new details about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach next month, as Kojima Productions, in collaboration with PlayStation, will host a Death Stranding 2 panel at SXSW 2025 in Austin, Texas.

Kojima Productions revealed today the complete details on the schedule for those who are thinking of attending.

In addition to the panel, Kojima Productions will also host a pop-up shop at SXSW. The shop will feature Death Stranding 2 merchandise and exclusive items only available at the event. More information about that will be shared at a later date.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the sequel to the 2019 game crafted by Hideo Kojima. The sequel is set to be released sometime this year exclusively for the PS5. The official synopsis reads, “DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH embarks on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA. Sam—with companions by his side—sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected?”

Aside from Norman Reedus reprising his role as Sam Porter, he will be joined by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning film director George Miller,

Last week, the game was rated in South Korea, suggesting that a release date announcement might be imminent. With a new State of Play set for tomorrow, perhaps an announcement about it could be made at the event.
