Lenovo is launching its next Legion tablet, one of the few Android gaming devices from a major manufacturer. The expected launch is for May 2025.
Lenovo, the parent company of Motorola, operates successfully across consumer, business, and gaming markets — a unique achievement in the tech industry.
While advanced Android gaming devices have historically been scarce in the US, Lenovo’s Legion line has the potential to elevate the Google Play Games experience to new levels.
The upcoming Legion tablet is expected to feature:
- CPU: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite
- Display: 8.8-inch LCD screen with a 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate
- Haptic Feedback & Sound: The tablet will include dual X-axis vibration motors and a dual-speaker system
- Battery: 7,000mAh or 8,000mAh, a notable improvement over the current model’s 6,550mAh.
- Camera: Single rear camera
The tablet is expected to be lighter despite these advancements. Additionally, AI features are expected to be implemented directly into the device.
Lenovo will detail product lines and AI solutions at upcoming conferences, including an AI-focused conference on May 7th, Tech World ‘Solutions Day’ in Singapore (Asia Pacific) in September 2025, and in India (Asia Pacific) in October 2025.
