There are lots of people who say “Google Keyword Planner is bad for SEO!” or “Don’t use Google Keyword Planner!” and I wanted to know why. (And, of course, I have a lot of opinions about the matter, but that’s not what this discussion is about.)
I’m not saying the results are always right. But I have found them to be useful. And I’ve read a lot of other arguments against using Keyword Planner. And none of them seem very convincing. And given how many people are using it, it’s not as bad as all that.
The main complaint I hear is that the data from Keyword Planner isn’t useful for SEO. Because it doesn’t include search volume data from Google’s mobile search.
And because it doesn’t include data from countries outside the United States.
But even if both of those were true (and they aren’t). Then why would we expect the results to be any more accurate for SEO purposes?
That wouldn’t make any sense. The way people search on their phones is different. From the way, they search on desktops Computers.
And even in the United States, how much people search for something varies by location. So why should we expect an average across all locations to
